Within BIOTRONIK UK Ltd a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Controller is now available. Reporting to the Manager Finance & HR, you will be primarily responsible for the Financial Controllership aspects for the BIOTRONIK UK entity. In addition, the role will support the Analysis and Reporting functions including the tracking and reporting of Sales data. The role requires close collaboration with various internal stakeholders including Finance, Sales teams, Tenders and Regional colleagues.

Your Responsibilities

Controlling

• Lead daily, monthly and year-end operations of the accounting department including all transactions under AR/AP/GL and asset accounting for the UK entity
• Lead the annual audit work ensuring full completion of audit requirements and preparation of financial statement and reporting
• Lead the monthly payment run for third parties, inter-companies and employees
• Interpret and reconcile accounting data, perform analysis and produce management reports
• Drive improvements and efficiencies in accounting systems, procedures and controls
• Ensure strong cash management processes
• Manage the period end retuns for VAT and payroll

Analysis and Reporting

• Supply detailed analytical and financial review to meet business requirements
• Utilise database knowledge, system capabilities to collect, clean, analyse, predict, and effectively communicate information
• Analyse data, draw insights, and present results in a cohesive, intuitive, and simplistic manner in monthly / quarterly management meetings
• Develop and deploy tools to analyse current and projected performance and outline data driven opportunities for improvement

Your Profile

• Bachelor`s degree in Accounting or related field
• 5 years of related experience
• Public Accountant experiences preferred
• Strong IFRS and GAAP knowledge necessary
• Strong business acumen, highly developed analytical / numerical skills (reporting and interpretation)
• Proficiency in Excel with ablitiy to work with large data sets
• Working knowledge of financial systems and business intelligence tools (SAP preferred)
