We are looking for a talented Finance Manager to partner with our EU Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) team to reduce our Cost to Serve (CtS) and improve FBA inventory health through cost-out initiatives and targeted fee interventions. The ideal candidate is a curious self-starter with a strong analytical background and the ability to deliver results in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the EU FBA Senior Finance Manager, you will identify and drive opportunities to reduce CtS, enhance CtS planning and reporting, and influence inbound (IB) and inventory strategies, including targeted fees interventions. This role requires close collaboration with finance and business teams across Europe, including Operations, FBA, and Supply Chain requiring a structured approach and good stakeholder management.
Key job responsibilities
* Support inbound and inventory strategy, including monetization and fee structures to reduce CtS.
* Integrate cost-out and inventory strategies into planning cycles.
* Identify and develop cost-out initiatives.
* Provide trend and gap analyses versus plan, generating actionable insights.
* Define and evolve performance metrics to improve controllership of inventory performance.
* Evaluate business cases and conduct ROI analyses to support growth, profitability, and cost savings.
* Build and maintain deep knowledge of inventory management, inbound operations, and CtS, staying current on key initiatives and challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree
- Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Strong communicator (in English, German not required)
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
