• Lead and develop the Application Center team as part of the Application Engineering (AE) organization within the assigned region (EIMEA) - Laboratories and staff in Germany, France
• Coordinate, lead and manage the execution of lab AE activities for Adhesives Packaging & Consumer Goods (APC) across all technologies and market segments within the assigned region (EIMEA)
• Drive technical excellence, upskilling and continuous improvement for all lab activities
• Be accountable for providing direct and indirect timely support to all customers including global key accounts, sales representatives, field application engineers and other functions
• Be accountable for driving collaboration with key equipment and substrate manufacturers (OEM and OMM) across the value chain to ensure state of the art know-how and industry benchmark collaboration
• Participate in external events to support business strategies and market position
• Collaborate with global teams to drive best practice implementation, knowledge sharing and harmonization
• Be accountable for maintaining, upgrading, and delivering technology and application training to internal and external stakeholders on-site and off-site

• Master’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or other relevant technology/science
• At least 5 years of experience in technical customer service or research and development in relevant fields such as adhesives or market segments such as packaging or personal hygiene
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with aptitude in building relationships with internal and external professionals of all organizational levels
• Leadership skills to manage a diverse, qualified and regionally distributed lab team, influencing skills
• Strong analytical skills with result-oriented and complex problem-solving approach, including troubleshooting and risk assessment
• Digital skills, lean management, operational excellence, project management, quality management, training capability
• Fluent German and English skills, additional languages appreciated
