Position Overview
About the Department The Personal Banking Strategy team works closely with the Head of PB Strategy, Marketing & Client Management and Head of Personal Banking Germany to shape and refine the overarching strategic direction. Based on market dynamics and organizational goals the team identifies strategic opportunities through robust analysis, develops business plans in collaboration with functional units, and prepares high-impact decision proposals. It also drives solutions for complex strategic challenges and ensures alignment with key stakeholders. Your Responsibilities - Shape and drive the strategic agenda for Personal Banking Germany in close partnership with the Head of PB Strategy, Marketing & Client Management and Head of Personal Banking, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and market dynamics.
- Lead end-to-end strategy processes, including annual planning cycles, strategic reviews, and executive-level workshops, fostering a culture of foresight, innovation, and accountability.
- Identify and evaluate transformative opportunities across growth, efficiency, and customer experience dimensions—leveraging data-driven insights, market intelligence, and internal capabilities.
- Design and oversee strategic initiatives from concept to execution, including the development of robust business cases, implementation roadmaps, and cross-functional mobilization plans.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, preparing high-impact decision materials for top management committees (e.g., Executive Committee, Board of Management), and facilitating alignment across key stakeholders.
- Champion the evolution of the go-to-market model, ensuring it reflects changing customer needs, digital trends, and competitive positioning.
- Foster strategic transformation by translating vision into actionable programs that accelerate the modernization and future-readiness of the Personal Banking business.
- Lead strategic intelligence efforts, including market and competitor analyses, benchmarking, and scenario planning, to inform strategic choices and anticipate disruption.
- Mentor and empower team members, cultivating a high-performance culture and developing future strategic leaders within the organization.
Your Profile - Proven track record of excellence, with a completed university degree and outstanding academic achievements.
- At least 7 years professional experience in business strategy functions within financial services and/or top tier strategy consulting (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG, OW).
- Demonstrated success in leading complex strategic initiatives and driving measurable impact across business units.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear strategic direction and executive-level recommendations.
- Strong business acumen and a visionary mindset, capable of anticipating market shifts and shaping long-term strategic positioning.
- High resilience, personal drive, and the ability to lead under pressure in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage across all levels of the organization, including C-level executives.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team development, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring of high-potential talent.
- Strong sense of ownership, strategic thinking, and decisiveness, with a confident and credible presence in senior leadership settings.
- Fluent in both English and German, with the ability to operate effectively in international and multicultural contexts.
