We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the area of Computational Engineering in Methods of Car Architecture Development.   What awaits you? As part of your job, you will support our project team in the development of new methods and software tools for the field of architecture development and geometric car design. With these methods we intend to design car architectures and vehicle concepts for the entire product portfolio of BMW in the future. For this purpose, we develop strategies to permanently ensure the technical plausibility of our concepts in a multidisciplinary field of requirements. These requirements encompass business aspects of customer-effective characteristics and legal provisions. Starting with the first considerations of a car concept, these methods are meant to guide the vehicle development into a successfull start of production. The implementation requires the development of an intelligent parametric model. Beside the CAx design, results from data analyses and functional requirements must be considered.   What should you bring along? Degree in computational engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering or equivalent. Programming skills in Python. CAD Design experience. Knowledge of CAx systems and their data structure.
