WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

During your internship, lasting between 3 to 6 months, you engage in various tasks within our Weed Management unit, allowing you to apply your theoretical knowledge in a practical setting and gain hands-on experience. BASF xarvio Digital Farming is among the world's leading providers of digital agricultural solutions.

• In your new role as an Agricultural Modeller, you focus on machine learning and function modeling.
• You analyze and model weed phenology, handling tabular data effectively to derive insights that can enhance weed management strategies.
• Your responsibilities also include developing and refining algorithms to predict weed growth patterns and assess their impact on weed management practices.
• Additionally, you work on integrating diverse datasets to improve the accuracy of your models and contribute innovative ideas to enhance our modeling techniques.
• Finally, you assist the team in designing and optimizing data-driven agricultural solutions that address weed management challenges.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• enrolled student in agricultural sciences or related fields
• experience in data and function modeling
• proficiency in data analysis and programming with Python
• familiarity with machine learning concepts is a plus
• prior work experience, including international exposure, is an advantage
• excellent communication skills in English
