Junior European Equity Sales Trader (f/m/x)
Position Overview
Details of the role and how it fits into the team
Equity Distribution is part of the Origination & Advisory (O&A) division of Deutsche Bank’s Investment Bank working closely with the wider franchise. This cross European sales trading role will focus on joining forces with our Frankfurt Sales Trading & trading team, managing & winning the execution of Equity order flow from our European institutional client base, working closely with and reporting to the Head of Sales Trading in Frankfurt.
The role is critical to help service & develop the existing business and increase capacities in Frankfurt. The Sales Trader will also be working closely with the broader Equity Distribution franchise including the UK & US Sales-Trading & Trading teams as well as the Pan-European & UK Sales teams in support of the broader IB Franchise.
Your key responsibilities
Execute trades efficiently, mainly focusing on high touch execution to maximize revenue potential.
Provide timely market and stock specific insights to equity trading desks and their Portfolio Managers.
Grow the DB client base across Europe.
Participate in the Primary Issuance process – IPO’s and Advanced Book Builds
Travel to meet new and existing clients, to strengthen and develop business opportunities.
Your skills and experiences
4+ years’ experience on a High Touch Equity dealing desk, with an existing client base across Europe.
Relevant academic degree from an internationally renowned university.
Comprehensive experience of European dealing principles, trading dynamics & market structure, including crosses and searching for liquidity
Having worked in an international background.
Existing European Equity dealing client accounts are a plus.
Entrepreneurial mindset is a prerequisite
KYC & onboarding expertise a plus
Strong written and oral communication skills, which display a clear and concise understanding of both fundamentals and the regulations that govern financial markets.
Staying abreast of market news and trends
Fluent English & German, a third European language of benefit
Excellent interpersonal skills, and a team player able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Strong relationship building skills
Knowledgeable in IT / AI in a Microsoft environment, excel programming skills a plus
