The Local Station Engineer BOS is responsible for:

  • Responsible to perform maintenance on aircraft of SWISS and our customer airlines aircraft according to the privileges stated in your authorization
  • Ensure that all planned, scheduled and unscheduled work is performed in accordance with approved data and makes sure that all non-achieved work is communicated to his/hers superior
  • Line maintenance up to weekly-check on A330, A343/6, A350, A380, B747 and B787 aircrafts
  • Pre-flight / ETOPS / daily and weekly checks as required
  • Issue the "Certificate of Release to Service“(CRS)
  • Trouble shooting in accordance with licensed privileges
  • AOG support
  • Administrative duties associated with the line maintenance office

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a combination of the below requirements:

  • EASA Part-66 B1 aircraft maintenance license or ICAO type II license (FAA), including type ratings trained by EASA Part-147 organization on Airbus A330/A343 is a must, in addition any, A346, A350, A380, B747-400/-8 and B787 type rating would be desirable
  • Work experience in line maintenance
  • Willingness to work in shift pattern
  • Willingness for short-term training assignments in Europe
  • Decision taking skills even under time pressure
  • Communication skills within a multi-cultural environment
  • Good team player with sense of responsibility and social competence
  • Excellent knowledge in English, German would be an advantage
  • Legally entitled to work in the U.S.
