Manager Application Engineering - PowerGen Diesel Systems Shanghai Vollzeit JR6078070 Stellenbeschreibung This role will be responsible for assisting in the development of the application-specific global strategy for Power Generation/Diesel Systems applications incl. related service strategy and providing the base application engineering, system development and project management for mtu Power Gen products. Meanwhile this role will also execute the project engineering during the project execution until commissioning of prototype and technical support of service within product life time. Key Accountabilities ： Base engine and system engineering Produce and modify configurations for mtu engines and systems for specified application Produce and ensure availability of the documents required by Sales and by the application Assist with field trials of components and/or entire engines / systems Provide project engineering tools (SPB/CSB/PSB) Provide technical/expert support for sales and service organization (SPB/CSB/PSB) Enter technical sales information to the Business Portal (SPB/CSB) Provide technical standards presentations in SPB/CSB; provide tools for project engineering Implement rules, standards, guidelines and processes acc. the global Application Engineering and monitors their observance within the local sales organization Series and customized systems development Develop and launch new SPB/CSB products incl. product models in relevant application (including automation systems) Develop and maintain system components for mtu Power Gen products; Manage bill of materials, material numbers and drawings Coordinate global market launch concepts about technical requirements. Cooperate with regional and global marketing units with a view to marketing aspects (e.g. sales events, sales material) Compile (or participate in doing so) technical project engineering material (e.g. TVU performance diagrams, drawings, sales documentation) for system scopes of supply Specify, expand and update application configurations (kits) for Distribution Sales, which allows sales units an independent and flexible configuration and sale of products (SPB/CSB) Provide technical standards presentations Specify and update standard product models in product configurations (IPAS/O³/…) Support marketing departments and activities, like product specific exhibitions or engineering conferences Customer project application engineering Application engineering support to sales organization during acquisition phase Technical consultancy of customers with regards to engines and system solutions Evaluate customer- / project specific requirements Define scope of supplies and services with the corresponding list price calculation (in IPAS or additional pre-defined calculation tools) Initiate and coordinate necessary internal development tasks (WOs) or external project engineering services Act as interface to the development department and to the external service provider Support the service organization in issuing system documentation and training measures for SPB/CSB/PSB Produce technical solutions in PSB incl. customer-specific automation solutions Create now/customized SAP BOMs (Bill of Materials) Customer specific modification of existing standard IPAS product models Product commissioning Compile installation specifications and installation guidelines (incl. automation scopes of supply) Coordinate/perform the first PSB commissioning for prototypes as well as for initial SPB/CSB installation (incl. automation scopes of supply) Provide technical instructions for the commissioning of series systems Support service organization with commissioning and application-specific problem solutions Any other assignment from time to time Qualifications: Degree / Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering or similar, or possess equivalent qualifications Project Management Skills and Competencies At least 5 years relevant working experience Customer-focused mindset Good knowledge of mtu engines or other Diesel engine in Off-Highway applications Good knowledge of power generation equipment and engine / system operation in powergen specific application and functions Thorough knowledge of powergen specific application and the market needs Good knowledge of Product Support matters Good Knowledge of electrical engineering, measurement technology, open-loop control and control engineering as well as operational procedures, with particular emphasis on project management Good command of both spoken & written English, good at office software Able to read and understand P&ID`s, Single-line diagrams and engineering drawings Able to communicate, intercultural understanding and social skills Respect for local attitudes and readiness to work in a multicultural environment Good communication skills Able to work under tight time schedules We offer excellent opportunities to develop, along with a competitive salary and exceptional benefits.
