Position overview
The Motorsports and Driving Events Manager leads the strategy, planning, and execution of motorsports marketing, drive programs, and sports marketing initiatives across North America. This role aligns marketing efforts with Porsche Motorsport AG initiatives and serves as the primary OEM marketing liaison between Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) and IMSA. Additionally, the position oversees the development and execution of key driving programs and sports marketing activities, ensuring strategic alignment, operational excellence, and fiscal accountability.
Roles & responsibilities
Motorsports
- Lead all aspects of motorsports activations, including strategy development, budget management, customer hospitality programs, dealership events, contract deliverables, and vehicle coordination
- Manage the motorsport fleet vehicles, including logistics and operational oversight
- Plan and execute a customer hospitality experience at the Rolex 24 at Daytona
- Partner with Porsche AG, PCNA Marketing Communications, and PCNA PR to develop, coordinate, and implement national motorsport marketing campaigns where applicable
- Oversee marketing contract deliverables for U.S.-based racing sanctioning bodies, including IMSA and SRO
- Serve as liaison between Porsche Motorsport AG, Porsche AG Marketing, Porsche Motorsport North America, and PCNA on all motorsport-related initiatives
- Serves as the primary marketing liaison between Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) and IMSA
- Collaborate with regional teams and the dealer network to maximize motorsport communication and activation opportunities
Marketing-based Drive Events
- Manage all aspects of drive program logistics, including track/location sourcing and booking, registration platform oversight, staffing and travel coordination, vehicle transportation, detailing, and maintenance
- Develop and manage program budgets from planning through execution
- Support the Experiential Marketing Senior Manager, and the Sports Marketing Coordinator in the development, planning, and execution of Porsche Travel Club initiatives
Sports Marketing
- Partner with the Sports Marketing Coordinator to plan and execute the bi-annual U.S. Golf Cup Tournament, including venue selection, vendor negotiation, event registration, marketing initiatives, onsite staffing, and post-event reporting
- Collaborate with Experiential Marketing colleagues on ad hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Support overall budget management for event sponsorships
- Evaluate sponsorship and activation requests and recommend strategic use of assets to maximize impact
Overall
- Maintain consistent oversight and tracking of motorsports and sports marketing budgets
- Manage and make strategic decisions regarding a multimillion-dollar annual budget
- Support annual budget planning, incorporating long-term financial objectives and sustainability considerations
- Provide leadership and oversight to direct reports, ensuring effective delegation and performance management
- Conduct timely goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual performance evaluations
- Ensure alignment and integration across CRM, Public Relations, Marketing Communications, and Regional Offices for all national driving programs, sports marketing, and motorsport initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Must demonstrate experience within the motorsports industry and strong knowledge of sports car racing
- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
- Ability to travel up to 50%, as required
Education:
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate events and meeting planning, preferably within motorsports, performance driving, or track-based programs
Skills/ Competencies:

The salary range for this role is $85,000-$95,000. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.

Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
