Stellen-ID: 3083872 | A100 ROW GmbH - D26

Beschreibung

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a world leader in cloud services, operating large-scale, high-density centers across the globe. We are expanding our technician teams within the EMEA regions and have openings for a Install Lead. This is an entry level position and a unique opportunity to work in some of the most innovative and fast paced data centers in the world.
The Infrastructure Delivery team is responsible for the scaling and physical deployment of new data center infrastructure. As part of that team, the Install Lead will be primarily tasked with project managing small to large cabling projects within the data centers and overseeing cabling vendor personnel teams. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated individual with a willingness to learn and upskill. The candidate must be able to perform repetitive tasks and adhere to standard processes and best practices. Candidates will be working in a team environment and must be able to communicate and promote cross-team functionality.
This position has a physical component and may require working in cramped spaces or elevated locations.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Key job responsibilities
• Adhere to security and safety best practices in the data center.
• An ability to invent new processes and improvements within an ever evolving company.
• Experience managing vendors.
• Ability to read basic layout drawings and floor plans.
• Ability to plan under pressure.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Adhering to defined escalation processes and standard operating procedures.
• The project management of multiple projects with the ability to deliver within designated time frames.
• Work in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperatures than standard office environmental conditions.
• Ability to work from heights, ladders, MEWPs.
• Ability to travel within geographical work area is required (i.e. move from data center to data center, some overseas traveling may be required)
