RESPONSIBILITIES

Within our unit, we serve the Home and Personal Care market with Standard (Co)Surfactants building the backbone of the vast majority of formulations present in the market. Besides, we offer a portfolio of Surfactants, thickeners and cosmetic Fatty Alcohols for more specific purposes. Last but not least, we serve other industries with Glycerin, co-products and Technical Fatty Alcohols. We are a dynamic, well connected, international and diverse team, covering the EMEA market and with head office in Monheim am Rhein and look forward to welcoming a new team member, taking care of the job as described hereafter.

  • As Regional Sales Manager, you primarily focus on managing sales activities related to glycerine, co-products, and technical fatty alcohols.
  • You are responsible for negotiating and placing yearly contracts for Glycerine, developing and maintaining a customer portfolio, and selling available volumes of co-products. These tasks will be performed in close cooperation with the production teams at Holthausen (Germany) and Boussens (France).
  • In addition, you deeply defend and develop sales to Technical Fatty Alcohols customers. This involves working closely with the Project Management Team, the Fatty Alcohols Project Management Team, and the Sales Team. You also play a key role in providing market feedback to the internal team to help adjust the marketing strategy accordingly.
  • The main focus of this role is the German market, with some involvement in handling international customers as well. You are expected to actively push and support profit-boosting activities within your assigned area of responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • degree in chemistry or chemical engineering, preferably with focus in the surfactant/fatty alcohol business
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience in the sales field
  • team player with strong networking skills and hunting spirit
  • familiar in using standard IT applications and advanced digital tools
  • willingness to travel in the region of responsibility
  • strong communication skills in both German and English as well as advanced negotiation skills
