IDEALLY THIS PERSON WILL BE LOCATED IN ONE OF THESE STATES NEAR A MAJOR AIRPORT: NC, VA, PA, OH, IL, IN, MI, KY, TN.
Summary: As a Sales Engineer, you will drive business development and sales for Voith Turbo’s hydraulic linear drives, systems, and pumps in the Midwestern U.S. You will work with OEMs, distributors, end-users, and integrators in industries such as machine tool manufacturing, injection molding, and press building. This role also involves providing technical support to inside sales.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage sales for new products, aftermarket services, and retrofits in the region
- Assist inside sales with technical inquiries and quotations
- Understand and address customer needs across heavy machine tool builders, press industries, mills, and high-pressure pump markets
- Provide occasional field service assistance for Voith pumps and systems
- Meet and exceed regional sales goals while coordinating with product managers
- Negotiate contracts and ensure customer satisfaction
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of technical drawings, P&ID, and automation systems.
- Familiarity with electrical drives, automation, and hydraulic systems (a plus).
- Experience with MS Office, SAP, Navision, and Salesforce.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of sales and service experience in hydraulics, machine tools, and controls.
- Fluid power certification (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- 25-35% travel required
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
