dbSelect offer highly customized solutions, beyond what most managers could provide themselves to their investors, something that very few banks have the capability of doing. Typical use cases involve international distribution capabilities, bespoke derivative access, leverage, or just simplified access to a basket of active managers. dbSelect both enhances the manager’s capabilities and makes allocating to hedge funds easier and more flexible for investors.

As a senior technologist in the group you will be responsible for design and implementation of critical Java-based components of the strategic landscape. You will use top-notch hardware and network solutions as well as efficient software techniques.

Your key responsibilities

• Together with senior technologists in the team perform requirements analysis and propose technical design

• Be responsible for front-to-back implementation of critical services, automation of business processes including integration into upstream and downstream systems

• Design and develop components of trading/pricing/risk-management algos, design and develop surrounding ecosystem services

• Review other team member’s code and mentor junior developers

• Collaborate with QA team on test automation and with Dev Ops on continues SDLC and environment management improvements

Your skills and experiences

• Strong math and strong knowledge of algorithms and complexity. Strong problem solving skills

• Great knowledge of Core Java, standard library, industry standard frameworks is a plus

• Experience with modern Web UI technologies is a plus, knowledge of standard market protocols or specifics of particular trading venues is a great plus

• Good user-level knowledge of Linux

• Good knowledge of modern SDLC toolstack – Bitbucket, Jira, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity, etc

• Fluent written and spoken English
