WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

In the responsibility as Senior Product Development Engineer, you will lead the industrialization of the product design and development with a focus on product innovation and value chain optimization for the NAS® battery factories. Your areas of responsibility include:

• Lead the local product development and engineering change control (product development, engineering change management, task force lead for design to cost initiatives, product design problem solving)
• Lead the product industrialization and new product launch to enable and ensure product launch timing, product maturity, and performance requirements (Function, Quality, Cost)
• Standardization and optimization of Product Development Processes and Engineering Change Control (CAD - CAE Analysis, Product Lifecycle Management, Product Release and Implementation Management) 
• Collaborate with Suppliers to ensure product design intent according to product specifications while leveraging supplier core competencies to improve and develop the product (Function, Quality, Cost)
• Support Product Testing, and Validation to ensure product maturity, performance, and safety
• Cross-functional collaboration and alignment with global and local business partners (task forces, critical topics)
• Support organizational growth while inspiring and motivating junior team members with a positive team spirit

WHAT YOU OFFER

• Completed studies in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering
• Solid, position-related work experience gained in automotive manufacturing, battery manufacturing or similar industries
• Deep knowledge of product development and industrialization processes
• Capability to create tangible and sustainable results in a target-oriented way
• Excellent communication in English and in German, proficiency in Japanese is an additional plus
• Strong collaboration skills nd passion to contribute to sustainable solutions limiting the implications of climate change
