Global Foreign Exchange

Global Foreign Exchange (GFX) is a vital part of the DB Investment Bank that provides our clients with many ways to exchange currencies and manage currency risk. Deutsche Bank has been ranked the Overall FX Market Leader by Euromoney FX Survey.

Scope of role

We are in search of a seasoned QA engineer to join our AutobahnFX Platform team. This team is pivotal in developing the Building Block SDK framework, serving as the foundational layer for all Autobahn FX applications.

Technical environment

Our application stack components are crafted with precision using Java/Kotlin for backend development and Typescript for frontend tasks. We host our innovative solutions on a hybrid cloud, empowered by Google GKE Enterprise.

Your Role as a Senior QA ABFX Platform Engineer (f/m/x)

• Feature Testing: Lead the development and execution of test strategies for features innovated by the AutobahnFX platform, emphasizing non-functional testing aspects like HA (High Availability), failover, and performance.
• Technology Consolidation: As we transition to cloud technology, adapt and innovate testing processes and tooling to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Test Optimization: Spearhead constant enhancements of regression test packs, which include dozens of thousands of automated tests, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Your key responsibilities

• Set up QA processes and Test Automation design: You’ll be responsible for establishing quality assurance processes and designing approaches for test automation from scratch. Additionally, you’ll work on improving existing processes and approaches.
• Define testable architecture for developed applications: As part of your role, you’ll influence the development team to implement a testable architecture for applications. This involves ensuring that the architecture supports effective testing.
• Design, develop, and extend in-house testing automation tools and test frameworks: You’ll create and enhance tools and frameworks specifically for testing purposes. These in-house solutions will help streamline the testing process.
• Drive optimizations in the length of test cycles: Your goal will be to reduce the time it takes to complete test cycles. By doing so, you’ll contribute to faster delivery of new functionality to the market.

Your skills and experiences

• Many years of in-depth professional working experience in Quality Assurance area, test analysis skills, ability to design test cases using different test techniques. 
• Proven track record in building test automation approaches on large scale.
• Experience in testing automation of complex systems, testing at different levels.
• Strong technical background, experience with SQL, Unix.
• Programming experience in Java/Kotlin is a must.
• Kubernetes experience is a plus.Problem solving and ability to take ownership of a task until its completion, rather than just coding or testing.
