Senior SAP BASIS Program Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP BASIS Program Manager to lead a portfolio of SAP BASIS projects supporting a strategic migration to SAP S/4HANA, with a focus on enabling a FICO Transformation initiative. The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of SAP BASIS experience, including end-to-end SAP system upgrades, migrations, and program management. This role will be responsible for coordinating BASIS technical teams, overseeing infrastructure readiness, managing vendor and internal stakeholder alignment, and ensuring a seamless transition to the new S/4HANA environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the SAP BASIS workstream for the S/4HANA migration program, ensuring alignment with overall FICO transformation goals.
• Develop and maintain detailed program plans, timelines, and resource allocations specific to BASIS scope.
• Coordinate and oversee system migrations, upgrades, and cutover planning, including sandbox, development, QA, and production environments.
• Serve as the primary liaison between infrastructure, BASIS, application, and project leadership teams.
• Ensure effective vendor coordination and compliance with architectural and security standards.
• Oversee system sizing, high availability, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning.
• Identify, assess, and manage BASIS-related risks and issues throughout the program lifecycle.
• Provide regular executive-level status updates and reporting on milestones, issues, and dependencies.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Info Technology Mgmt, preferred

Experience:

• 10–15 years of hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration and architecture.
• Proven experience managing complex SAP migrations and upgrade projects, including ECC to S/4HANA transitions.
• Strong knowledge of SAP infrastructure requirements (HANA DB, Linux, cloud/on-prem environments).
• Experience supporting large-scale SAP Financials (FICO) transformations is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT), transport management, and system refreshes.
• Excellent project/program management skills, including risk management, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
• PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.

• This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time while traveling in a car or airplane.

The salary range for this role is $125,000-$150,000. However, it is important to note that at MHP, the compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. MHP reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.
