We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP BASIS Project Manager to lead a portfolio of SAP BASIS projects supporting from technical upgrades, systems roll outs, and up to strategic migrations to SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of SAP BASIS experience, including hands-on end-to-end SAP system upgrades, migrations, and technical leadership and project management. This role will be responsible for direct systems administration and support, coordinating BASIS technical teams across different regions and time zones, overseeing infrastructure readiness, managing vendor and internal stakeholder alignment, be integral part of project teams ensuring a seamless integration and roll out of new systems, up-to transitions to the new S/4HANA environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the SAP BASIS workstream for multiple projects, ensuring no impact to business operations and performance of the system.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical project plans, timelines, and resource allocations specific to BASIS scope for multiple projects at a time.
- Coordinate and oversee system migrations, upgrades, and cutover planning, including sandbox, development, QA, and production environments.
- Serve as the primary liaison between infrastructure, BASIS, application, and project leadership teams.
- Ensure effective vendor coordination and compliance with architectural and security standards.
- Oversee system sizing, high availability, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning.
- Identify, assess, and manage BASIS-related risks and issues throughout the program lifecycle.
- Provide regular executive-level status updates and reporting on milestones, issues, and dependencies.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Info Technology Mgmt., preferred
Qualifications:
- 10–15 years of hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration and architecture.
- Proven experience managing complex SAP migrations and upgrade projects, including ECC to S/4HANA transitions.
- Strong knowledge of SAP infrastructure requirements (HANA DB, Linux, cloud/on-prem environments).
- Experience supporting large-scale SAP Financials (FICO) transformations is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of SAP Landscape Transformation (SLT), transport management, and system refreshes.
- Experience in Basis Administration primarily encompassing SAP system upgrades and migrations w.r.t SAP NW ABAP/JAVA systems, HANA, SLT, Business Objects, SAP Data Services.
- Experience in Configuring and Administering SAP cloud products (SAC, CI-DS, Datasphere, PaPM, IBP) and setting up interfaces.
- Experience in technical/solution designing and planning SAP system implementations.
- Providing technical leadership on all IT (SAP Basis) initiatives throughout the organization.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and timeline.
- Performing root cause analysis for complex system issues and provide resolution recommendations.
- Performing system analysis and design activities for complex enterprise systems.
- Providing advice on project costs, design concepts, and design changes.
- Providing technical guidance in support of system implementation/upgrade/migration and troubleshooting. Also, demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks while remaining adaptable and flexible.
- Mentoring team members on implementation techniques while providing guidance on best practices.
- Always providing efficient and courteous service to customers.
- Meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
- Excellent project/program management skills, including risk management, status reporting, and stakeholder communications.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
Percentage of required travel: up to 30 %
(travel periods may include periods of up to 3 weeks including weekends during critical phases of projects (system setup, dress rehearsals, disaster recovery testing, major HW and SW upgrades, systems Go-Live)
Physical requirements:
- This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time while traveling in a car or airplane.

The salary range for this role is $125,000-$150,000. However, it is important to note that at MHP, the compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. MHP reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.
