Position overview
Porsche Financial Services (PFS) is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Analyst, Residual Value Risk Management to lead and support activities related to residual value forecasting, loss reserve adequacy, and risk mitigation strategies. This role plays a key part in protecting the financial health of the leasing portfolio by ensuring residual value risk is accurately assessed, forecasted, and aligned with current market conditions and portfolio performance.
Working cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Data Intelligence, and Capital Markets, the Senior Analyst provides critical insight into asset performance, market trends, and loss exposure—contributing directly to strategic decision-making, program pricing, and reserve planning.
Roles & responsibilities
- Residual Value Risk Management & Modeling
- Develop, maintain, and refine residual value loss forecast models for all vehicle portfolios, ensuring alignment with market trends and historical performance.
- Monitor portfolio performance against expected residual outcomes; identify variances and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Ensure residual value reserves are sufficient to cover potential future losses through regular analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
- Prepare monthly reporting and analysis of residual value risk, reserve movements, and key trends impacting asset value retention.
- Governance, Forecasting & Program Support
- Lead the quarterly Price Optimization Committee (POC) process, including preparation of meeting materials and vehicle forecast alignment for Porsche, Bentley, and Lamborghini (U.S. and Canada).
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to assess and refine Sales Support Programs and their impact on residual performance and profitability.
- Oversee the timely and accurate creation of Financial Services Program bulletins, integrating approved RV assumptions and pricing logic.
- Executive & Strategic Communication
- Develop dashboards and residual value risk reporting for executive leadership, including the CEO, CFO, Board of Directors and Shareholders Committee.
- Support the preparation of materials for PFS’ Shareholders Committee meetings, strategic planning sessions, and internal risk reviews.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and data-driven insights to support decisions related to new products, remarketing initiatives, and leasing strategy.
- Audit, Controls & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation related to residual value models, assumptions, and results.
- Collaborate with the Data Intelligence & Analytics team to continuously improve RV data accuracy, model performance, and forecasting tools.
- Partner with the Capital Markets and Credit Services teams on topics related to risk exposure, vehicle pricing, and loan origination strategy.
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of future products/initiatives from a residual value perspective.
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
Education:
- BS degree, preferred in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA) a plus.
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in risk management, finance, accounting, statistical modeling, or related fields.
- Experience in automotive finance, captive finance, leasing or asset-backed lending highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables, Queries), Access, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of MS SQL Server, SQL, VBA, R or Python is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and process integrity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex analysis into actionable insights.
- Effective project and time management skills; able to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this role is $100,000-$120,000. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.
