Anti-Financial-Crime
Anti-Financial-Crime (AFC) Technology provides the tools and applications required by the AFC function. AFC is responsible for defining, maintaining, and enforcing an effective risk management framework to reduce the risk that Deutsche Bank may be used to facilitate financial crime.
As a Solution Architect you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals, that are key for achieving Deutsche Bank’s future state Anti Financial Crime capabilities.

Your key responsibilities
Design global solution overview during Program initiation and derive various architecture levels (solution within existing application architecture, underlying technology architecture, required infrastructure architecture, data architecture and security architecture) to lead the program development from design to delivery.
Design complex technical solutions in an inclusive and participatory manner, to negotiate with and influence other design parties (business stakeholders, technical architects, software developers, data integration engineers, third party suppliers), to reconcile technical and business considerations in order to arrive at the optimal solution.
Grasp and manage complexity of the data integration environment, in both business and technical sense, understanding data and process flows through data integration layer and downstream/upstream systems dependencies.
Assist in the adoption of modern engineering practices, design principles & architecture patterns and Agile methodology across the Global AFU Platform tribe.
Ensure Target Solution Architecture alignment with best practices and standards related to Data Architecture, Security Architecture, Technical architecture and Infrastructure Architecture.
Your skills and experiences
Skilled in financial industry, building productive networks to drive collaboration, service re-use, and knowledge sharing; you also effectively & constructively communicate complex messages in a clear and concise manner.
Prior experience with JVM based stack (Spring, Java) and JavaScript, preferably with near real time event-based systems (JMS/pub-sub) and especially related to infrastructure, networks, cyber security, and data/analytics technology.
Significant prior experience applying design and integration patterns front to back for building service oriented technical architecture on API first approach as well as strong knowledge of Relational Database (SQL), NoSQL (document-oriented and column-based storage) as well as in protocols and formats (HTTPS, Websockets, SOAP, REST, JSON, XML).
Data modelling experience including logical, conceptual and physical data modelling is advantageous.
Prior hands-on experience with architecting high available, microservice , scalable and resilient solutions in cloud-based environment using e. g. Kubernetes/server-less as well as in re-architecting and designing existing applications for the cloud – ideally Google (GCP) as well as the ability to consider additional dimensions (e. g. Cyber-security, OAuth/OIDC, Financials, Risk, Time to Market, Compliance) on top of the architecture drivers, to propose balanced and feasible technical architecture solutions.
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; German language knowledge would be a plus.
