WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The Global Procurement division is responsible for BASF Coatings Group purchasing activities worldwide. We negotiate contracts that provide BASF Coatings Group with tangible added value. Our focus areas include the procurement of raw materials, technical goods and services, as well as logistics solutions. With our comprehensive market know-how and deep understanding of value chains, we are a valuable partner for the business units.

• In your new role, you develop and drive the global digitalization strategy within the global procurement function. 
• You identify and evaluate innovative digital solutions to enhance procurement capabilities and manage relationships with external partners, ranging from startups to established technology providers.
• You oversee the digital project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and support project managers throughout all phases - from the initiation and approval of new digital tools to successful project completion.
• As the designated Digital Lead and AI Champion for Procurement, you ensure alignment with enterprise-wide digital and AI strategies.
• Additionally, you coordinate internal alignment on digitalization topics across divisional and business units, collaborating with other digital leadership roles.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• successfully completed university degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field
• strong understanding of digital technologies and platforms, combined with a proactive interest in emerging market trends and innovations
• experience in partner management and external collaboration
• convincing communication and stakeholder management skills
• fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
