eBay Motors is a multi-billion dollar, global portfolio with a focus on the vehicle parts & accessories business, which is among the largest on eBay and core to eBay’s strategic future. Within that, the used parts segment (also known as green parts, salvage parts, or recycled parts) is a key part of our strategic investment.
We are looking to hire a Senior Manager of Used/ Recycled Vehicle Parts who will be responsible for shaping and executing key initiatives for the segment in Germany. This individual will be responsible for accelerating segment growth through influencing cross-functional teams at eBay (such as category and account managers, product managers, and analytics), and collaborating with key external partners (such as companies in the collision and repair space, recyclers / salvage yards, insurance companies, and segment software providers). This role will customize the broader Salvage strategy for the German market, keeping in mind seller and buyer dynamics, and overarching regulatory and market ecosystems. Elements of the role include the identification, business case development, program management, and delivery of key projects in service of creating a trusted destination suited for online sales of used condition parts.
The ideal candidate is an independent thinker and effective operator who understands the dynamics of two-sided e-commerce marketplaces, appreciates the unique needs of the salvage/recycled segment, and collaborates well with cross-functional partners. Experience partnering with internal and external stakeholders to define and drive programs and projects to completion will be helpful.
