As Strategic Buyer Travel Management, you manage procurement strategies for hotels and transport across Lufthansa Group airlines, with a focus on Africa and Southern Europe. You analyze markets, assess suppliers, and drive cost-effective, compliant travel solutions.

  • Act as Strategic Buyer for the Travel Management category, focusing on hotel accommodation and transport services
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies in line with corporate and legal requirements
  • Role based in Brussels, covering responsibilities across most Lufthansa Group airlines
  • Geographical focus on key markets, including Africa and Southern Europe
  • Conduct market analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
  • Evaluate and manage supplier performance and explore alternative services
  • Ensure cost-efficiency and compliance throughout procurement processes
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to enhance travel strategy

Your profile

  • Completed university studies in the field of business or similar
  • Preferably an initial (+2 years) professional experience in purchasing / sales or the textile industry
  • A good understanding of commercial trade law and contracting
  • Very good negotiating skills, communication talent and intercultural competence
  • Strong commercial thinking and analytical skills
  • Communicative personality and self-confident appearance
  • Willingness to take on responsibility
  • A high degree of team orientation and self-organisation
  • High willingness for worldwide business travel
