The Quantum Communication Systems Group together with other optical communication systems groups at the Institute of Communications and Navigation have developed flight terminals and ground stations. Currently, the group is developing new generation of fixed optical ground station on the roof of the institute building. Software to operate the ground station is essential. The software includes various modules mainly Pointing, Acquisition, Tracking (PAT), drivers for the components like tracking camera, motors, fine pointing assembly etc.. Software for operating current ground stations exists and the main goal of the advertised work would be following: interface and port the software (written in C++) to the next generation OGSOP test each software modules together with hardware components perform star calibration using new software and analyse the pointing and tracking accuracy perform ground to ground test and prepare for future satellite to ground downlinks Your qualifications: study of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar hands on experience in C++ programming and linux operating system control loops and driver programming knowledge are advantageous Your benefits: Look forward to a fulfilling job with an employer who appreciates your commitment and supports your personal and professional development.
