Your Role

  • Calculations of lightweight structures for the purpose of proof of strength, durability and providing design solutions, especially for primary structures in aircraft construction.
  • Performing sizing, optimization and substantiation analysis of aircraft components.
  • Application of analytical calculation methods and the Finite-Element-Method.
  • Calculations of metallic and fiber composite components.
  • Calculations regarding static strength, stability and non-linearities, Fatigue and Damage Tolerance and evaluation of calculation processes as well as suggestions for improvement.

Your Profile

  • Enrolled student, ideally in aerospace.
  • Basic knowledge of technical mechanics, material science, lightweight construction, Finite-Element-Model-Analysis and aircraft primary structure design concepts.
  • First knowledge of software tools for Finite-Element-Analysis (Hyperworks, NASTRAN) and preferably customer-specific analysis tools (e.g. ISAMI).
  • Programming knowledge is an advantage (Python, VBA, TCL).
  • Very good knowledge of English and preferably German.
