The prospective employee will be performing routine maintenance tasks related to the Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems of the aircraft. Stamp for all work performed in the “performed by” column upon complete accomplishment of tasks Ensure the use of the correct documentation and procedures when carrying out any task Maintain a high level of Housekeeping, Quality & Tool Control Attend all training as required Work in any bay/workshop as assigned by superiors Order parts and raise Defect Job Cards as necessary Contact Ruth Attard Briffa Behind the scenes Join Our Team ...be part of our story! Requirements The role of the Mechanic is that they can perform and stamp in the ‘performed by column’ any task in any area on any aircraft maintained at LTM. Their work must be inspected and attested by an appropriately approved person in their designated area of work. Knowledge/Qualifications: As a minimum, passes in EASA Part 66 Cat A Modules Minimum 2 years Aircraft Base Maintenance Experience Certified evidence of current work experience diary Skills: Ability to undertake all the requirements of the said position Must have ability to read schematics and technical manuals A demonstrated interest and ability to learn Ability to follow oral & written instructions Commitment to quality management Ability to work within deadlines Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision Company About Lufthansa Technik Malta Ltd Lufthansa Technik Malta Ltd. (LTM) was established in 2003 as a joint venture between Lufthansa Technik AG (92%) and Air Malta (8%). The MRO service provider (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul), based at Malta International Airport in Luqa, provides its customers with line and base maintenance services for short haul and long haul aircraft in the Airbus A320/A330/340/350 series. Initially specializing in C Checks and comprehensive aircraft modifications, the company has now significantly expanded its service portfolio following the construction of a 64,000 square meter hangar complex. The spectrum of services offered has grown to encompass extensive maintenance work with wide ranging capabilities including structural and composite fibre repairs, complex testing procedures and comprehensive cabin refits. The 600 strong workforce can work on up to three long haul aircraft or five medium and long haul aircraft at any one time in the new hangar complex, expanded to cater for wide body aircraft. The hangars are used primarily for C Checks and aircraft overhauls. Lufthansa Technik Malta also collaborates with the renowned Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) for the purpose of training and apprenticeship schemes. The strategically favorable location in the Mediterranean region of southern Europe, with its proximity to Africa and to the Arabian Peninsula, gives Lufthansa Technik Malta a special role within the Lufthansa Group.
