ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Associate Director, Publisher Partnerships & Strategy - EU will be a key strategic partner in overseeing publisher relationships, deal structures, and business development initiatives across European and Latin American markets, with initial focus on the German marketplace.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Publisher Relations Directors to conceptualize and also lead negotiations, develop innovative deal structures, set up and implement strategic projects that drive growth for Audible's content portfolio. You will bring analytical rigor, a proven track record of methodical negotiation skills, and creative solutions to publisher partnerships, while demonstrating the ability to understand cultural nuances across different marketplaces. Your expertise in managing cross-functional initiatives will strengthen Audible's market position across regions, as you seamlessly navigate between diverse publishing ecosystems and adapt strategies to local market dynamics.

As an Associate Director, Publisher Partnerships & Strategy - EU, you will...
- Support Publisher Relations Directors in complex negotiations, providing deal structure recommendations, economic analysis, and strategic insights to optimize partnership outcomes and also lead negotiations
- Develop innovative deal frameworks that address unique market opportunities while maintaining alignment with global content strategy
- Lead cross-functional projects to improve publisher relationships, streamline operational processes, and drive content acquisition efficiency across EU/LATAM markets
- Create financial modeling and perform deal evaluation to assess partnership opportunities and support data-driven decision making
- Prepare comprehensive executive presentations and written reports that communicate strategic recommendations with clarity and impact
- Monitor competitive landscape and publisher market dynamics to identify emerging trends and opportunities
- Coordinate between regional teams to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice implementation across markets connect the teams
- Travel as required between key markets, with primary focus initially on Germany

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in business development, partnership management, or strategic roles within media, publishing, or entertainment industries
- Experience supporting or leading complex negotiations with proven success in deal closure
- Project management experience delivering cross-functional initiatives
- Business fluency in English and German
- Financial acumen with ability to develop and analyze deal economics and partnership models
- MBA or advanced degree in relevant field
- Business proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, French and/or Italian
- Experience in audiobook, publishing, or digital content industries
- Knowledge of intellectual property rights and licensing practices
- Previous experience working in or with European and Latin American markets
- Strong presentation skills with ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to diverse audiences
- Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships across organizational boundaries
- Experience working in matrix environments with multiple stakeholders
- Analytical approach with ability to translate data insights into strategic recommendations
- Willingness to travel
