We help commodity trading, corporate strategy, finance and policy professionals navigate change and generate opportunities. BNEF has 250 staff based in 19 offices across the globe. 
 
BNEF is seeking a talented, highly motivated individual to join our Carbon team. The successful candidate will work with our high-powered global teams across Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, London and New York. You’re one of those people who have a passion for the energy transition and carbon markets, and you want to be at the edge of change in this exciting industry. You naturally form original opinions, and you have a great ability to communicate your insights effectively. You have strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, along with a particular aptitude for understanding the complexity of traded markets and intricate policy frameworks. 

We will trust you to: 
  • Conduct research and analysis on carbon markets by examining supply-demand fundamentals, price drivers and policies 
  • Develop and maintain datasets, factsheets, case studies, and tools to further our understanding of carbon policies and market drivers 
  • Effectively communicate views and findings through regular written reports 
  • Work with and support coordination of material across various global carbon teams for BNEF’s Carbon Knowledge Hub (https://www.carbonknowledgehub.com/
You’ll need to have:    
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience qualifications 
  • Work experience in a similar field, or a degree in a relatable subject 
  • Experience in doing analysis of energy policy or market analysis 
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English 
We'd love to see:     
  • Existing knowledge of carbon markets, compliance mechanisms and carbon offsets 
  • Experience in gathering, processing, and analyzing large datasets 
  • Proficiency in another major regional language including but not limited to Bahasa, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Thai, Vietnamese.
