About The Role

You will be a part of the development team based in Berlin and will lead the team responsible for the core part of the platform. You will report to the domain lead of the wider area, and directly collaborate with business departments and both local and remote developers, analysts and project managers from partnering teams. Together with the team you will drive a full life cycle of a product, from architecture design to implementation and level 3 production support.

Your primary focus will be leadership and development of ultra-low latency Algo, Market Data and Market Connectivity components and frameworks that form the core of the platform. The platform is built using top-notch hardware and network solutions as well as efficient software techniques - those include direct access to network cards to bypass the standard TCP/IP stack, explicit assignment of hot threads to physical processors to achieve the top performance and use the most recent C++ 20/23 language features to get to the edge of impossible. And one step beyond. As Team Lead, you will also be expected to drive technical direction, advocate for architectural changes in the core platform, and align stakeholders on strategic evolution.

Your key responsibilities

• Good math and strong knowledge of algorithms and complexity

• Strong C++, STL, POSIX and Boost knowledge, multi-threading, deep knowledge of TCP/IP stack - all tuned for performance

• Hands-on experience with Linux,gcc/gdb, valgrind

• Shell scripting, python, FIX protocol knowledge is a plus

• Fluent written and spoken English

• Proven leadership in technical teams, including mentoring, delegation and ownership of delivery

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to advocate for change and align multiple teams

• To mentor and support junior colleagues in their professional development
