An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our  Offshore O&M Delivery team within BA Wind. The role will involve managing a team of  Service Leaders, technicians and logistics coordinators.  The role will be influencing Vattenfall’s best interest with our OEM and stakeholders to maximise and develop business efficiencies. As part of the role  you will provide in depth knowledge on how O&M Delivery work and interaction with our key suppliers. 
 
Danish Kriegers Flak is located in the Baltic Sea and the service facility is situated at Klintholm in Denmark . It is comprised of 72 Siemens Gamesa 8MW DD turbines and two offshore substations with a total output of 604MW.
 
Overall Purpose:
An exciting opportunity to join the O&M Delivery team and to be responsible for operating and maintaining one of our flag ship projects in Denmark. The Operations and Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the site facilities and building up the team for future operations of the Wind Farm. The role will report to the Head of Operations for the Cluster.
 
The Operations & Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the maintenance of all assets on the site and decide the timing of maintenance. The  candidate will along with the onsite team plan both the daily and long term maintenance. The team shall plan and organise all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work, take the operative responsibility of the assets and will also control the permits to work on site. This role will have direct reports of around 21 employees

Main responsibilities
The Operations and Maintenance Manager will be responsible for:
• Managing the operational and technical performance of the Operating Offshore Windfarm;
• Managing the local site O&M, Service Leaders, Technicians and any other associated personnel
• With the Head of the Cluster, manage the relationship with the local stakeholders including the transmission system operator with the support of relevant technical experts.
• Monitor, analyse and manage the operational and HSE performance of the Wind Farm including the performance of any contractors.
• Manage the technical resolution of failures of equipment and performance of plant, drawing on support from the wider Vattenfall team.
• Control all activities on site with the support of the Head of Operations through the implementation of a rigorous and documented process.
• Understand and manage the key contractual agreements with all current Operating Windfarm contractors by attending monthly meetings and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Support and develop the performance reporting that provides key performance indicators to the Head of Operations  – ensure the relevant reporting deadlines are met.
• Support and develop the team to execute the planning of works and parts ordering in SAP
• Coach and develop the technical and operational capabilities of the Service Leaders, Technicians and other staff.

Qualifications /Personal Qualities required
 
• Experience in leading a larger team
• A relevant degree in engineering, preferably mechanical or electrical engineering or other applicable technical field.
• Significant relevant work experience from within electricity generation, ideally offshore wind farms.
• Broad experience in electrical and mechanical operations and maintenance.
• Flexible, self-motivated and organised individual with the ability to work on their own, willing to travel and share knowledge and experiences across the organisation.
• Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and other MS Office packages.
• Familiar with operating SCADA systems and running HV systems.
• SAP qualification would be beneficial.
• To have been responsible for the operation and the maintenance of plant assets including planning and sourcing.
• To be experienced in planning and execution and directing personnel.
• Knowledge of marine coordination and cooperation with and information to Grid Operators and market factors
• Experience in contract management and negotiation skills.
• Must be fluent in both Danish and English both verbally and written.
