We are now looking for a Senior Manager ESG Data Processes & Internal Controls (d/f/m) in our global sustainability team, which is responsible for Henkel’s sustainability reporting.

Dare to make an impact?

• Identify relevant data owners and define accountabilities to fulfill data reporting and accounting needs in line with compliance and business requirements; this includes highlighting and solving potential data and data process gaps in collaboration with data owners and Dx (IT)
• Describe the organizational processes to create, fill, maintain, connect the data fields, in alignment with technical parameters in the purview of Dx (IT) and business stakeholders and data owners
• Develop and roll out training materials to relevant stakeholders to foster data management best practices and principles and build a culture of Environmental Data quality awareness and responsibility
• Establish relevant documentation and descriptions of data processes and data control systems to enable reasonable assurance and comparable business requirements
• Continuously assess and enhance Environmental Data governance and reporting processes within the organization
• Ensure adherence to relevant Environmental Data regulations, standards and reporting requirements
• Work in gremia and engage in advocacy efforts to drive ESG data initiatives with internal and external stakeholders
• Work on ad-hoc projects and duties as required by management

• Master’s degree in Finance, Data Management, Controlling or a related field
• 7 years or more of professional work experience
• Experience in organizational information management, (financial) controlling processes, or organizational governance processes
  
• Proficiency in excel, relevant financial accounting tools and financial analysis combined with strong analytical skills
  
• Experience in audit or assurance processes as well as experience in creating and maintaining documentation of data processes and data control systems
  
• Track record in tangibly improving data assurance capability and reliability
  
• Understanding of relevant environmental data regulations, standards and reporting requirements (e.g. CSRD, CDP)
  
• Experienced in agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban; Certifications like Professional Scrum Product Owner is a plus
  
• Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders groups; good communicator with ability to convince and engage at all levels
  
• A strong multi-tasker-capable of planning, organizing details while communicating effectively on all levels within the organization
  
• Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence within a multi-matrix organizational structure, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive initiatives forward.
  
• Business Proficiency in English, German is a plus
