Senior QA engineer (m/f/x) – Listed Derivatives

Core Trading Technology team in Berlin focuses on development of low latency electronic trading platform and services for FX, Rates&Credit, Listed Derivates businesses. We are looking for experienced QA engineer who will maintain test standards of sell-side FIX Client Connectivity platform that offers market access to 30 Futures exchanges worldwide, developed by Deutsche Bank Berlin Tech Centre. QA engineer responsibilities will be maintaining application’s stability, lead the quality assurance process for new feature releases, testing across various environments and keeping it consistent across the variety of historic and new requirements. The vital part of this role is a communication with distributed team – business stakeholders, functional analysts and technology engineers.

Your key responsibilities

• Analysis of business requirements, communication with clients on enhancements clarification.

• Testing new functionality and ensure that current functionality works as expected.

• Deploy and maintain the client connectivity platform for global listed derivatives electronic trading.

• Define project scope, objectives and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Employ a range of techniques to analyse problems and evaluate multiple solutions against engineering, business & strategic criteria.

• Work with vendors and in-house technology teams to deliver regulatory and business driven enhancements.

Your skills and experiences

Must have: 

• Experience in Automation testing of Java apps (ability to write jUnit-like code).

• Extensive experience troubleshooting server side and networking protocols.

• Proven knowledge of IT project management principles.

• Knowledge of TCP/IP and related network services (ie. DHCP, DNS, etc), communications protocols and standards.

• Experience with Unix shell

• Have strong technical IT background and analytical skills

• Strong English skills - Upper Intermediate

• Degree with emphasis on computer science

Nice to have: 

• Experience with one or several bug tracking systems (Preferably JIRA) 

• Financial domain knowledge, understanding of electronic trading principals
