Service Engineer Hydro
Minimum Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering
5 years of experience working with hydro plant machinery
Experience in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Ideal Requirement
A master’s degree or MBA could be an advantage
5 years of experience working with hydro plant machinery
Knowledge in Non-Destructive Testing/Quality assurance, would be advantageous
Experience in providing technical service to customers
Other Requirement
Expertise in manufacturing, field service and commissioning
Knowledge about on-site machining a plus
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to travel internationally
Proven ability to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables
Self-Starter with problem solving skills
Purpose of the Job:
Self-sufficient, hands-on Service Engineer, required to provide customers, suppliers and sales force with the necessary technical information regarding the manufacture, installation and operation of our Hydroelectric Power Plants.
Primary duties:
• Product and Process Specialist
• Service Immediate Customer needs
• Application Development/ Product Design
• New Product Introductions
• Customer/Supplier/Vendor Relations
• Identify New Product Opportunities
• Organize transfer meetings with sales, project management and customers
• Project Management as required
• On-site assessments, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, repairs and/or upgrades to Customer’s equipment
• Sales Opportunity Management as required
• Contribute to company committees or initiatives as needed
• Travel will be required as part of this position
• Other duties may be assigned
