Increased networking of vehicle systems and rising exchange of big data means that the danger of cyber-attacks is growing. Protecting automotive IT from these threats is essential if innovative systems are to be brought safely onto the roads. This is why we need experts who live and breathe IT security and who can use innovative software solutions to develop countermeasures from threat analysis through to developing and implementing a suitable security architecture. Together with a team of specialists, you will be responsible for safeguarding future mobility. As part of the development of electronic control units (ECU), you are responsible for the implementation and further development of architecture concepts as part of the software architecture.   What awaits you? You coordinate and implement architecture concepts in software architecture and ECU specifications and supplement them with specific requirements of the development team. You create, verify, and coordinate risk analysis and requirement specifications for the software architecture, as well as perform risk assessments and vulnerability analyses. You are responsible for architecture solutions in series development towards internal software development teams and suppliers. In addition, you define acceptance criteria for architecture solutions in software and vehicle integration and evaluate these criteria. You are responsible for requirements engineering, tracing of the specification’s compliance with respect to feature demands. Within an ECU project, you are responsible for the features integrated into various operating systems such as QNX, Linux, and AUTOSAR and represent them to the managers of the E/E and hardware/software system architecture and in relevant committees. The architecture development takes place in close coordination with the affected development teams and the E/E architecture offices.   What should you bring along? University degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a comparable qualification. Experience in the development of safety or cybersecurity relevant systems according to ISO26262 or ISO/SAE21434 and UN-ECE 155, 156, and 157. In-depth professional experience in the field of embedded ECUs system architecture with power and automotive controllers as well as in modern ARM-based SoC architectures. Programming skills in C and at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C++, Rust). Knowledge and experience of the entire vehicle I/O architecture as well as the corresponding vehicle lifecycle and bus technologies, protocols, and interfaces for CAN and Ethernet. Experience in embedded software development as well as in the field of hardware and software architecture of software systems in serial use under QNX or Linux as well as AUTOSAR, as well as experience with UML and Case Tool based modeling.
