We are looking for a self-starting, resourceful, enterprising reporter to cover Germany's most consequential technology and telecom companies.

•  Break high-profile, market-moving news on the investments, deals and strategies of industry giants such as SAP, the largest software company outside of the US; and the chipmaking giant Infineon.
•  Track the broader chip and software industries across Europe;
•  Chase scoops on Germany's dynamic startup scene, including the eyewatering valuations of AI companies such as Aleph Alpha and the headwinds of delivery companies including Delivery Hero. 
•  Pitch and execute on high-impact enterprise and investigations into these companies, their cultures and their human impact.
•  Possess the writing, reporting and sourcing skills to deliver longer-form projects that deepen our readers' understanding of these industries, hold them accountable, advance conversations and effect change.

•  A strong ability to develop deep networks of sources that will allow you to break big stories that Bloomberg readers care about.
•  A proven record of producing high-quality, high-impact enterprise.
•  The ability to write copy that is clear, succinct, focused and well organized.
•  The ability to work quickly under deadline pressure and contribute to a range of platforms, including the Bloomberg Terminal, the web, Bloomberg Businessweek, Bloomberg TV and podcasts.
•  Strong collaboration skills and an eagerness to work with other reporters in our global technology group and other colleagues across teams and platforms.
•  A proficiency in German and English.
•  A commitment to the idea that journalism can and should hold the powerful to account.
