The P03/MiNaXS beamline is a world-leading facility for combining X-ray micro and nanobeams with small- and wide-angle X-ray scattering (GISAXS/GIWAXS) with special focus on in-situ and operando investigations of functional and hybrid nanomaterials. We are seeking a highly motivated scientist for the P03/MiNaXS team.

About your role:

  • Participation in development of micro- and nano focusing techniques at P03/MiNaXS in terms of hardware and software as well as future PETRA IV planning
  • Development of data acquisition and analysis environment
  • User support at P03/MiNaXS
  • Pursuing a research program in the field of surfaces, interfaces or nanostructured thin films studied with GISAXS/GIWAXS methods in combination with developments of analytic software

Limited: 3 years

About you:

  • PhD and master in physics, chemistry or comparable sciences
  • Knowledge and experience in SAXS/GISAXS/GIWAXS methods at 3rd or 4th-generation synchrotron radiation sources
  • Experience in surface coating thin film technologies is desirable
  • Programming skills, especially in Python, are highly desirable
  • Experience in analysing GISAXS/GIWAXS Data
  • Business fluent English
  • Record of scientific publications
