Commercial Banking Tribe

You’ll be joining the Commercial Bank Tribe, who is focusing on the special needs of the small and medium enterprise clients in Germany, a designated area for further growth and investment within Corporate Bank.

We are responsible for the digital transformation of ~800.000 clients in 3 brands, i.e. the establishment of the BizBanking platform including development of digital sales and service processes as well as the automation of processes for this client segment.

We are on a journey of an extensive digitalisation of business processes and to migrate our applications to the cloud. We are working jointly together with our business colleagues in an agile setup and we are collaborating with stakeholders and engineers from other areas thriving to achieve a highly automated and adoptable process and application landscape.

As a Junior QA Automation Engineer (m/f/x) you will be a team member of our Products Tribe and ensure the quality of our digital sales processes by implementing test automation and conducting manual tests.

Your key responsibilities

• You participate in the full SDLC with focus on test automation for frontend and backend APIs and manual/functional testing where automation is not yet available.

• You have an excellent communication skill and are able to articulate clearly

• You design and develop automated tests for validating the features delivered by your Squad and integrate them in our build pipelines and you are responsible to perform API tests manually using Postman (or equivalent tools).

• You plan, execute and document manual tests in case test automation is not applicable.

• You are working in a cross disciplined agile team with shared responsibility and high autonomy and actively engage in test and engineering community, share your knowledge, and build up a solid network.

• You have exposure to agile team and are aware of all scrum ceremonies

Your skill and experiences

• University degree with technological or scientific focus or equivalent working experience.

• Practical experience in test automation with hands on experience in testing frameworks like Selenium, Karate, Cypress, Postman.

• Good knowledge of Java and JavaScript / NodeJS as well as with CI environments like GitHub, GitLap or Jenkins.

• Practical experience in manual software testing including creation, execution, and documentation of manual test.

• You are a very good team player who likes to share content and best practices, learns quickly, and listens carefully. You have good communication skills and can communicate fluently in English.
