About the team and the role:

The Strategic Account Management team partners with B2C sellers to grow their businesses on eBay’s marketplace. This role focuses on sellers in Electronics and Collectibles, with a strong emphasis on expanding the Refurbished category. As a Senior Strategic Account Manager, you will manage and develop a dedicated portfolio of sellers (“book of business”), driving sustainable GMV growth and advertising adoption while building long-term partnerships. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Category Management, Retail Standards, eBay Live, and Support, and play a key role in shaping seller strategy and performance.

What you will accomplish:

  • Grow and develop a portfolio of B2C sellers in Electronics and Collectibles, building long-term partnerships that drive sustainable GMV growth, with a focus on Refurbished inventory

  • Increase adoption and performance of eBay advertising solutions (e.g., Promoted Listings) and contribute to advertising revenue growth through tailored campaign recommendations

  • Identify and activate key growth levers such as listing optimization, Retail Standards, trading activities, inventory expansion, and Cross Border Trade participation

  • Develop and complete data-driven account plans, providing strategic guidance on assortment planning, pricing strategies, and promotional activities

  • Analyze sales and campaign performance data to identify opportunities, remove barriers, and improve overall seller performance

  • Support sellers on eBay-specific marketplace topics, proactively addressing challenges and delivering practical solutions

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Category Management, Retail Standards, eBay Live, and Support to deliver coordinated initiatives and participate in focus projects and programs

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in Account Management, ideally within e-commerce or an online marketplace environment; experience in the automotive field isa plus

  • Sales experience in a fast-paced setting with a strong emphasis on meeting objectives and measuring success

  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting sales and campaign data to inform strategic decisions

  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate effectively, presenting solutions in situations with differing perspectives

  • Clear and adaptable communication skills, with the ability to manage conversations, resolve conflicts, and drive outcomes

  • Fluent German (native level) and very good English language skills

  • Interest in or experience with Refurbished products and sustainable commerce initiatives
