Summary & The Role With our Cloud Authorization Service (CAS), we aim to provide a new central policy service for SAP's Business Technology Platform. Developers will be able to secure their applications by making use of this service. CAS supports simple role-based authorization as well as complex attribute-based authorizations. The solution is based on a newly developed SQL-like policy language and the open source rule engine, Open Policy Agent (OPA). As a Developer (Junior) (f/m/d) working for the CAS you will design and implement robust security functionalities. You will define and implement the architecture of CAS including its operation model on the platform and share your knowledge regularly with colleagues and customers inside and outside of SAP. You can contribute to the Open Source project OPA and interact with the community. You will troubleshoot issues on the live system and drive continuous service improvement. You will collaborate closely inside the team and with the platform operations team. We are looking for skilled graduates who are interested in information security topics and ideally had first exposures already. You should love to deeply analyze and understand software and should have a detail- and goal-oriented style of work. Role Requirements Required skills Good university degree (bachelor, diploma, master, PhD) in computer science or related fields like software engineering, physics or mathematics. Similar qualifications are welcomed as well. Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Go, Java Fluent language skills in English - verbal and written Preferred skills Knowledge in relevant security domains, e.g. authorization or authentication Practical experience contributing to open-source software projects Working experience in agile development practices, e.g. Scrum or DevOps German language skills About the Team Working with us you will be part of an experienced security team.
