Minimum Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification i.e. degree/ diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering, or similar
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in the Mining and raw materials handling industry or Power Oil and Gas is a key requirement.
- Minimum 5 years people management experience at a senior level.
- Previous financial accountability will be required to plan and manage budgets and profitability
Ideal Requirements
- A master’s degree or MBA could be an advantage
- Minimum 10 years relevant work experience in the Mining and raw materials handling industry or Power Oil and Gas is a key requirement.
- Minimum 10 years people management experience at a senior level.
Other Requirements
- Must have knowledge of key project and mining houses and power, oil and gas, and the associated purchasing systems of these organisations.
- Must have a network of key contacts within these project houses and/or these industries.
- Requires a sound understanding of how project and Industry operates i.e. processes, practices and systems.

Purpose of the Job
- Strategic leader of sales, after sales in the EMEA/AS Region and link between customers in the EMEA/AS Region and Business Units (BU) in Germany.
Primary Duties
- Lead and coordinate customer facing activities in EMEA/AS including After Market Business and achieve result agreed for Industry in the sub-region; leading the sales team and setting the framework in terms of order intake and sales activities
- Build and maintain contact and close relationships with key customers in the sub-region
- Define and implement a profitable growth strategy for Industry in the sub-region; coordinate sub-regional strategy.
- Actively track and report on the progress of the business plan using agreed KPIs; implement changes as required to meet or exceed objective.
- Plan, prepare and continuously review a short-, medium- and long-term business strategy aligned to regional strategic objectives. This will include the translation of high-level vision, mission and value objectives/targets into clearly differentiated tactical operational plans and targets for implementation in the Southern African Industrial market segments.
- Seek to build and maintain strategic alliances with key stakeholders to identify and facilitate opportunities for increased competitive advantage and profitable growth.
- Plan and maintain an effective organisational structure, systems, and processes to support the overall Industry strategy.
- Analyse and identify key risks that impact on the Industry business and establish, monitor and manage operational controls and levels of authority to minimise risk exposure.
