With the PETRA IV project, DESY is launching one of the most ambitious and innovative large-scale research projects worldwide. PETRA IV, the most brilliant synchrotron radiation source of the next generation, will be the ultimate 4D X-ray microscope, setting new standards in precision and performance. To implement the project, we are looking for motivated employees who want to get involved in a complex project with international appeal. Managing the project and installation plan, we are looking for a schedule coordinator for PETRA IV. Embedded in the project management office, the position will be an interface between the scientific and technical staff and the project management. The main tasks will be, collecting and maintaining the data of the project schedule in e.g. MS Project and preparing reports for the project management. More information about PETRA IV: PETRA IV
- Collecting and maintaining the data of the project and installation schedule of PETRA IV
- Controlling of the milestones of the project
- Preparing, processing and optimisation of the reporting instruments to the project management

Limited: 2 years
- Completed university education in Economics, Physics, Chemistry or Engineering or similar background or experiences
- Education in project management and/or planning
- Experience record in project conducton and scheduling
- Experience with project planning software, especially MS Project (online)
- Knowledge of large scientific infrastructure and process of the Helmholtz-Association will be beneficial
- Written and spoken skills in German and English
